...and baby makes four

If you haven't heard the news, we are expecting a baby July 15. That makes me 16 weeks and I'm still not feeling well. I've been really sick this time around (way worse than with Miller). I've had more good moments during the last few weeks, but I'm still not quite there. Miller seems to know when Mommy doesn't feel good and thinks a hug will make me feel better (he so sweet). He's really excited about being a big brother and currently is saying he wants it to be a boy. I keep telling him that he doesn't get to make that decision. We will find out the sex, but that won't be until early March. It's so tough to wait.

Little Gym

One of Miller's favorite activities this past year has been going to The Little Gym. We have decided to take a little break this spring (for music and swimming, etc.) so he had his last class last week. I thought I'd take a few pictures to document it.

Doing a forward roll on the cheese mat. He can also do one on the floor all by himself.

Kicking a soccer ball. He got a soccer ball and goal from Santa and he really enjoys playing. Maybe he will be a soccer player.

Getting his ribbon for class completion on the medal platform (he wouldn't stand up for the picture). He is so proud of the ribbon and still carries it around.

Green Eggs....

One of Miller's favorite books is Green Eggs and Ham. One Saturday morning, Jud thought it would be fun to make Miller green eggs. He absolutely loved it and is still talking about it.

Kansas City New Years

We drove to Kansas City from Lincoln on New Years Eve to spend NYE with our good friends Ricky and Shae. They hosted a great NYE dinner with some friends. The food was fabulous and the company was even better. Miller had so much fun running around their beautiful house and chasing their dog.

Christmas in Lincoln

We decided to make the long drive to Lincoln this year for the first time. The huge Christmas midwest snowstorm was going to be right in our path, so we decided to leave at 4am on Christmas Eve to try to miss it. We had about an hour of driving through blizzard conditions the first day, but we made it to Wichita that afternoon and stayed in a hotel. The next morning we headed out and had about 3 hours of sunny weather before it got bad.

I took this picture out of the front window of the car - this wasn't even the worst of it. Many times it was a complete white out and we couldn't see anything at 20 mph. One problem, is you certainly can't stop when you are in the middle of it. We were 50 miles from Lincoln and got to the Interstate and it was closed. So, we spent Christmas night in another motel. Since it was Christmas day, nothing was open so we had all sorts of snacks for dinner. Then the Interstate didn't open until 6pm the next day. We thought we were going to have to stay another night. Miller was a trooper through the whole thing. He just wanted to get to GraMary's and see Bekah.

The kids has so much fun together. Posing in front of the Christmas tree.

Clowning around with daddy.

No fun being the youngest cousin. Hang in there Max, you won't be the youngest for long.

The boys in their matching moose pj's.

Playing in the snow outside Grandpa and GraMary's. It was Miller's first time to really play in snow. He didn't like putting all the clothes on, but he didn't want to come inside either.

He loved playing with the snow shovel.

Regardless of the drive up, we had a great time in Lincoln. It's so much fun to spend time with family we don't get to see enough.

Christmas at the Argue's

We had a great Christmas at Noni & JoJo's! We spent all day over there opening presents, having breakfast, napping, playing with new toys and having Christmas dinner. Like always, they were too generous - thank you!

The annual "hold up your stocking" picture on the couch.

Miller and I sitting in the middle of all our presents ready to open away.

We take a picture of Miller in the middle of all the bows every year. Noni is an expert bow maker.

Santa Came to Visit!

Miller was so excited Santa was coming to bring him presents. I'm not sure he really grasped the whole concept this year, but he understood enough.

He loved leaving cookies and milk for Santa. Here he is right before he went to bed and after the treats were set out. In the morning, he couldn't believe Santa came and ate almost everything.

Seeing what Santa left.

Let's see what Santa put in your stocking.

Playing with all his new loot (train table, Mr. Potato Head family, Mac from the movie Cars, a soccer goal/ball and a few other small things).

Breakfast with Santa

While we were in Mexico, Miller stayed with Noni and JoJo. They took him to Breakfast with Santa at our church.
Miller and JoJo with Rudolph. Doesn't it look one of the other reindeer punched him in the face?

Frosty

Excited to see Santa...

...but not wanting to get close.

Mayakoba, Mexico

For my birthday gift and both of our Christmas gifts to each other, we took a 3 night trip to Mayakoba, Mexico (in the Rivera Maya between Cancun and Playa). We got a great deal at Banyon Tree Hotel and it was the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at.

Here is the open air lobby with a banyon tree in the lagoon in the center of the main hotel area.

Here is our awesome room.

We had an outdoor bathtub. The wall behind the tub is a wall of votives.

This was our own private courtyard with our own pool.

The hotel has 4:00 tea time everyday so we took advantage of the great weather and enjoyed some tea.

Jud played golf one afternoon. The boat that takes you through the lagoons to and from the beach goes right through the golf course.

The beach was absolutely wonderful. They had these great beach beds that were so comfortable. We could of stayed there for forever.

On the boat headed back to the hotel from the beach.

Heading back into the lobby area on the boat.

At dinner at the hotel signature Thai restaurant - they had delicious food at the hotel.

Christmas is coming!
