We spent about a month (late July-late August) in Durango this summer. It was so nice to get away from the Houston heat and humidity. I was really dreading the 18 hour drive. I knew Miller would be fine as he is so happy watching movies or playing on the iPad. I was worried about Miles. He had just turned two and he has about a ten minute attention span. To my surprise, they were great! Only a few short fights and fits. On the drive there we spent the night in El Paso and on the way back we made it to Ft. Stockton, TX. What great memories we made!
Here are the boys taking a nap in the family truckster. What you can't see is the cargo carrier on top of the car. Just call us the Griswold's.
My parents caravaned with us and Evan and Blake arrived for a short visit a day later. Of course we took some pictures on the deck before walking up to the club for dinner one night.
Being silly...
My cute parents.
Miles on Daddy's shoulders on the walk home from the club.
The men played golf. Look at that view...
Enjoying a beer at our favorite bar downtown before dinner one night.
We spent a day at the base of the mountain doing all the summer activities. The boys played putt-putt and loved it. We need to go play more often.
Running around on the green enjoying the weather.
Ready to Alpine Slide. Check out the view over Miller's shoulder - God is so amazing!
We went to a lake that is close by to fish. Not the best place to fish (we caught nothing) but breathtaking and the boys had fun.
My three precious boys!
While Evan and Blake were there, they went on a hike in Glacier Club and saw a horned frog in the wild. How awesome is that? GO TCU!!!!!
