Christmas Morning

Santa came and brought Miller all sorts of fun toys.

His favorite toy of all is the vacuum. He won't put it down.

After we had our Christmas at our house, we went to Noni & JoJo's and opened all our gifts there. Miller got an Elmo Live. He loves to dance with him.

He also got a tricycle. He's not quite ready to ride it on his own, but he loves to be pushed and push it himself.

Aunt Evan gave him a big basketball goal.

After all the presents were opened, Miller had fun playing in all the bows.

Christmas Eve

Miller's First Kiss

Yep, Miller got his first kiss at 15 months old. Miss Sophia laid one on him.

Look how cute they are together.

Snow in Houston?

You bet.

Ho Ho Ho!

The TCU Houston Alumni hosted A Movie with Santa at Alamo Draft House. We thought Miller was a little young to sit still through Polar Express, so we just went to see Santa and say hi to a few people. Miller was super excited to see Santa (Ho Ho Ho, he calls him), but once we got up to him it was a different story.

He looks terrified. I'm surprised we even got a picture this good.

We thought a family picture was our only hope. Look at Miller's lean.

Miller tried popcorn for the first time and loved it. He practically ate the whole tub. What a big boy.

Old Bethlehem

Our church put on An Evening in Old Bethlehem. It was like stepping back into Bethlehem when Jesus was born. Very cool. Of course, the highlight of the night for Miller was the animals.

He loved the camel.

Here he is with a mini-donk. A donkey may be his favorite animal right now (hee haw, hee haw).

Thanksgiving in Lincoln

We were able to spend almost a week in Lincoln over Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have the time to visit with friends and family. We also celebrated Christmas while we were there, since we are staying in Houston this year. What a great trip!

Miller enjoyed his Thanksgiving feast, especially the gingerbread cookie.

The Martin/Rowoldt crew after Thanksgiving dinner.

Dressed in our Husker gear before the game.

Family pic.

Miller walked around with this bow on his head for about 10 minutes - thanks to Dad.

Ricky drove to visit us one night. It was so good to see him.

Thanksgiving in Lufkin

We drove to Lufkin with the whole crew for an early Thanksgiving. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Miller with JoJo ready to go see the horses.

Riding a horse with Great-uncle Phil.

Running around in the pasture. Yes, he did step in something.

Petting the horse.

With Great-grandmother Grandy.

The Zoo

We had a beautiful Sunday in November so we decided to take Miller to the Zoo for the first time. He loved it! The giraffe's were the first animals we saw and all he could do was point and say "Oooooo".

He also loved the lions, tigers, elephants and monkeys. He has even perfected the sounds these animals make.

We finally got Miller's one year pictures taken (we had a few delays with Hurricane Ike and some rainy days). We think they turned out great. Here is a few of our favorites.

Trick or Treat

Miller's first time trick or treating (last year doesn't count since he was only 2 months old).

Here's Miller heading to the first house.

I can't believe he kept the hood on.

Getting a lolly pop from our neighbor. I'm not sure why he is so excited. He has no idea what candy is.

He's checking out his loot.

Roarrrrrrrrrr!

Miller is a lion for Halloween this year. We have been wearing the costume around to get him used to the hood part. We got some pretty cute pictures of him the other day. He hasn't learned to say Trick or Treat yet, but he can answer the question, "What does a lion say?"

He loves pumpkins, but he calls them balls.

He's getting so big and walking/running all over the place.

Don't let him fool you, he's really not this innocent.

Vegas Baby!

We went on a dad and daughter trip to Las Vegas in mid October. It was a short weekend trip but we had lots of fun.

The three of us in front of the Bellagio fall decorations on our way to Prime Steakhouse. It may have been the best meal I have ever had. Truffle mashed potatos . . . need I say more.

The reason my Dad planned the trip - the Barrett Jackson Car Show. His new hobby is antique cars. I would say this is a pretty large three-wheeler.

On Saturday night we went to Love (the Cirque Du Soleil Beatles show). It was fabulous - I would highly recommend it!

On our way to the Venetian for dinner.

Rah Rah TCU!!! They have a huge stone horned frog coming out of the floor at the Vegas airport. Of course Evan and I had to take a picture on it.

Pumpkin Patch

Miller's play group met at our church pumpkin patch on Friday. We had tons of fun and took lots of great pictures.

Miller with three of his girlfriends Claire Cagle, Hayden Wagner and Lilly Smith (who's not very happy).

Can you see Claire, Lilly and Miller?
