Trick or Treat

Again our street was crazy on Halloween night. We got started early to avoid the crazy rush of hundreds of people.

Miller was super excited to get more treats.

I dressed up as a cat (super easy).

Jud was cousin Eddie from Vegas Vacation (flippers, yard of beer and all).
Sorry this is a little out of order...
On Friday night we went to the Post Oak YMCA's Fall Festival with some friends.
It was pretty warm so Miller's frog hat came off fast.

Heading into the inflatable obstacle course with daddy.

Loving every minute of it.

He basically climbed the ladder by himself.

Getting ready to go down the big slide.

Jud following him and probably having more fun than Miller.

Jack-O-Lantern

We decided to carve a pumpkin with Miller on Halloween afternoon.

He helped getting the pumpkin insides out for about five minutes and then lost interest.

Since we were missing my 10-year TCU Homecoming this weekend for Halloween and our football team is ranked 6th in the nation, we decided to carve a TCU pumpkin. We were super pleased and lit it proudly in our front window that night. Miller says "Rah Rah TCU Horned Frogs!"

Happy Halloween!

We had a lazy Halloween morning. Jud was playing golf, Miller and I slept until 8:00 and just played around the house. He really loved his Jack-o-lantern PJ's this year (they glow in the dark) so I had to get a few pictures of him in them.

Look at this pose. Could he be any cuter?

Yep, he had Jack-o-lantern socks too!

Halloween Parade at School

On Friday, Miller's school had a small Halloween Parade. All the kids come dressed in costume and the parents stay after they drop them off and line up down the courtyard. Each class parades through the line of parents on their way to chapel.
This is just as his class started the parade. All the kids were a little overwhelmed at the beginning.

I snapped a picture of Miller just as he noticed me. Right after this picture was taken, he realized that I wasn't going with him and had a major meltdown. He was screaming and crying and fell to the ground. One of his teachers had to pick him up and carry him so he wouldn't stop the parade. He continued to scream and cry for me the rest of the parade. Oh, the joys of a two year old.

Pumpkin Patch

We took our annual trip to our church pumpkin patch with our playgroup. We had a small group since the weather had been so bad, but the kids had fun even with a few sprinkles.

He kept saying "giddy up, giddy up!"

Posing on a tree.

Miller with Landon and Claire in the big wagon. They are so big compared to last year.

Trunk or Treats

On Sunday, Oct. 25, we went to Trunk or Treats at our church. Miller had so much fun. They had about 30 cars handing out candy and Miller figured out really quickly what he needed to do to get a piece. Here he is getting some candy from our friends Collin and Abby.

ZooBoo

We went to BooZoo at the Houston Zoo last weekend and had so much fun. Miller wore his frog costume the entire time we were there and loved every minute of it.

They had trick-or-treating booths set up throughout the zoo and Miller was so excited to get a lollypop.

We met our good friends Jeff, Nina and Sophia there and the kids had so much fun together. Here they are posing in the pumpkin patch just after they picked out their free mini pumpkin.

My cute little green tree frog.

Nina and I helping Miller and Sophia decorate their pumpkins.

Now that's a big candy corn.

Checking out the elephants.

We were lucky enough to witness them doing a special BooZoo tiger feeding. They hung a hollow pumpkin full of meat from a string and let the tiger go to town. Needless to say, it didn't take her very long to get it down.

Look Mommy, it's a green tree frog. That's what I'm dressed up as.

I love this family shot.

Super happy just sitting on a bench.

Hawaii - Kauai

After Honolulu, we headed to Kauai for a week. It's such a beautiful island and so green.

We went to the local Coconut Festival and the kiddos had so much fun. They had local arts and crafts for sale, local food, a few small rides, a bounce house and a petting zoo. Here is Miller holding a baby chick in the petting zoo.

Jud checking out the 50 foot cliff jump at Shipwrecks Beach.

Jud jumping off the cliff.

I took this picture from the beach.

He made it and had a really long swim back. Here he is riding a wave in.

The kids checking out Spouting Horn.

At first, Miller didn't like walking on the sand because his feet got dirty (he's a little OCD). He got used to it after a few minutes.

Waimea Canyon. It's like a small version of the Gran Canyon that runs down the whole island. Truly breathtaking.

Another stop along Waimea Canyon.

We went to a Luau that was on a big plantation one night. Miller was helping play the drums.

We took a train ride around the plantation and saw all the orchards and animals. We even stopped so the kids could feed the pigs and goats.

Watching the Luau. Miller really enjoyed it and was so good. Can you tell it was really hot and sticky?

Jud and Max playing the Prince Course at Princeville.

The kids at the park right next to the beach. Kauai is really kid-friendly.

Jud with Bekah and Miller.

Max, Jud and Chad playing Poipu Bay Golf Course.

Grandpa and GraMary with the three Grandkids.

I'm sure this will be on the Christmas Card.

The whole gang at a great restaurant, The Beach House, in Poipu. What great views and a fabulous sunset!

Breathtaking Waterfall.

What an amazing family vacation! We had so much fun and had great family time. Thanks Max & Mary and Happy 40th Anniversary!
