House Remodel

In May 2013 we embarked on a huge remodel/addition to our house.  We had lived on Pebblebrook for almost six years and were quickly growing out of our house.  We had looked for other houses in our area for two years and either couldn't afford what we wanted or houses weren't right for us.  We LOVE our cul-de-sac street, neighborhood, schools, location, etc.  So, Jud finally talked me into taking this journey.

We moved out of our house at the end of May into a townhouse.  We expected to move back at the end of February, but the move in date is now set for mid-April.  Yep, we would be having the baby in the middle of all this.  Needless to say, it's been a crazy year.

Since the house isn't quite finished yet, I will just post a few pictures of before and during.  I will do a big post of before and after pics when it's completed and life settles down.  Let's call this a teaser.

Here is our cute 3 bedroom, two bath house before.  I will always have a special place in my heart for this house.  It was a great house and we brought our first two babies home to it.
Before of our living room looking towards the kitchen.
We are going up...adding a second story.  Upstairs we will have 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a game room.  Downstairs we are raising some of the ceilings, turning one of the bedrooms into Jud's office, expanding and redoing the kitchen, pushing back the living room five feet and adding a covered patio.

Here's the house with the roof off:
Basically the same picture of the living room looking towards the kitchen.
Here's the front with the framing done:
It's looking great and we are loving how it's turning out.  Right now things are moving fast and all the decisions I've made are coming to life.  We are super excited to move in and be back in the neighborhood!

Miller Graduated Pre-K II

It seems silly to post this now since he's almost done with Kindergarten, but I hate to skip important events.  I may be joking myself when I say I'm going to catch up one day, but I'm still hoping.

Miller graduated Pre-K II at Wildcat Way last May.  He's so handsome!
He got the award for the biggest ladies man and the boy the girls always chase on the play ground.

We LOVED Ms. Denise and really miss her.  She was so great to us.  This was her last year to teach.  She retired and moved to OK to be close to family.

Miller - Team Fire

Jud coached Miller in t-ball again this year.  The boys chose the name for the team - Fire. Miller is really starting to understand the game and it's fun to watch!  Yep, Jud forces Miller to bat as a lefty hoping it will further his game when he gets older.  He's about average left handed - not too shabby.  He seems to be pretty fast too.

Easter

Again, I am way behind but better late than never.  Thanks for bearing with me so I can document our life in order.  I hope to catch up eventually.

We had a lot going on Easter week.  It all started with Palm Sunday and the boys waving palm branches through big church.

My neighborhood moms group had a Easter egg hunt at a park.  Here are the boys with the Easter bunny.
Miles at his school Easter parade to take his flower and put it on the "living cross" at chapel.
 Church Easter egg hunt.
Easter morning - the Easter bunny was very generous.
As usual, we went to brunch at Royal Oaks after church.  The bunny was there to greet us as we got out of the car.  (Strangely, it was a busty bunny this year)
Love these handsome boys.  Miller is so cool!
Jud's parents joined the Argue crew this year.

 LOVE.
After brunch we went back to my parents and had our own little egg hunt in the back yard.

Family of Five!!!

Well, if you don't know by now then you are out of the loop. We are expecting baby #3!  I found out I was pregnant two days before we left for Argentina. So, no Malbec for me on that trip. My due date is less than 5 weeks away, October 13.
We did a little family gender reveal party, mostly for the boys. They were so excited to find out if they were having a brother or sister. Since I'm 36, I did some genetic testing (via blood test) very early on. Thank God, everything came back normal. The blood test also told us the gender. I placed an order at a bakery and had the genetics counselor call the bakery and tell them male or female. Then the bakery made a cake with blue or pink icing in the middle. Therefore, we all found out at the same time.
Here we are super excited as I started to cut the cake. I just love the look on each and everyone's face in this picture. I will treasure this moment forever. The boys really understood that pink meant girl and blue meant boy. What is it??????
A BOY!!!!
Yep, a family of three boys and we couldn't be more excited. Jud is excited about his foursome for golf and I wouldn't change having boys for the world. God made me a boy mom and I'll take every crazy minute of it! If we are going to be at the baseball field, we might as well just stay there a little longer, right?

The boys were so excited! Just look at the smile on Miller's face.
We took some pictures in the bluebonnets with blue balloons to announce to friends and family that we were having a boy! I can't wait to see what #3 will look like. I'm betting on red hair. Why not have one of each?

Of course we had to stick with an "M" name. So, we are looking forward to meeting Mayes Jackson Martin in just a few short weeks. We just like the name Mayes since it's different and Jackson is a family name that goes way back on my mom's side.

Spring Break in Durango

We spent Spring Break in Durango with our friends the Shokrian's and had so much fun.  Jud and Jeff skied while Miller took lessons.
Miller has turned into quite the skier. He was doing greens with daddy by the end of the trip.  I can't wait to get out there with him. It makes me smile that he loves it as much as Jud and I do.
The crew walking to the club for dinner. How incredible is that view?
We took a sleigh ride with the kids from the bottom of the mountain.  The boys got to sit on the horses before we left.
Here we are on the sleigh. Miller was covering up his nose because the horses were stinky. I just love this picture - I might have to frame it!
The romance starting early. Miller and Sophia sitting in a tree...
We went to the Glacier Club sledding hill one day.  The snow was so hard compared to Christmas so it was super fast.
Miller took a bad face-to-ice digger and skinned up the whole right side of his face. He was such a trooper after a few minutes of screaming.
Miles was better in the snow this time, but still not loving it.
 Miller and Sophia eating snow.
The boys did the bungee trampoline at the bottom of the mountain again. They just love it and go so high!

We pulled out the fire pit on the deck and had some yummy smores!
What a fun trip with great friends!  The Shokrian's recently moved to San Antonio and we miss them like crazy. That just means more trips like this are in our future.
