Rodeo Time!

Jud took an afternoon off work and we took Miller to the Rodeo for the first time. We had such a fun day!Miller went on the pony rides and is still talking about it. He just randomly says "pony".

Mommy and Miller with the pony. Miller is waving at Daddy.

I'm a farmer.

Miller loved the petting zoo the most. He walked around to every animal and gave them each a love pat. Here he is hugging a deer.

He's petting a goat. We had to drag him out of the petting zoo after 20 minutes kicking and screaming. Next year, I'm sure we will be going on all the carnival rides. He was only 1/2 an inch too short to ride some of the big rides this year.

Azalea Trail - Bayou on the Bend

On Sunday, March 8, so we met Erica and Lilly Smith and Carly Lee at Bayou on the Bend during the Azalea Trail. Not only was it beautiful weather, but the grounds were amazing. Plus, the kiddos had so much fun running around.

Miller and Lilly playing with leaves.

Miller loved the fountain. I'm surprised he didn't try to jump in.

Smelling the beautiful flowers.

He just climbed up on a bench by himself and sat there for a while.

Miller - 18 Months

Miller is now 18 months old. He is such a little man. He is talking like crazy and my guess is he knows about 100 words. We went to his 18 month check-up this week and he didn't have to get any shots. It was a much more pleasant visit than previous ones. He is 35 1/2 inches tall (99%) and weighs 27 lbs. 12 oz. (75%).

Look how big I am. I love to climb up in the desk chair and be pushed around.

Such a sweet face.

DFW Road Trip

Jud had a TCU Alumni board meeting in Ft. Worth the weekend of February 21. Lindsey and Miller tagged along to see some friends. What a great weekend!

We walked around TCU's campus and saw all the new construction. I can't believe how much it has changed in ten years. Miller loved seeing the horned frog.

We stayed two nights with Maggie and Micah in Ft. Worth. Eli and Miller are best buds and had so much fun.

Eli even taught Miller some of his wrestling moves. Thanks to the Maggie and Micah for us letting crash at your house.

Lindsey and Miller met one of Lindsey's old friends, Lauren Bostwick, at a mall on Friday. It was so much fun to finally see her kiddos. Miller and Bryson had a great time driving the cars and trains.

On Friday night we went to the Storms' house with Ricky and Shea. They are so much fun and set up their bounce house in their playroom. Miller had a blast with Laura and Bryce.

While we were at Bryan and Carrie's, Miller climbed in the doll pack-n-play and tried to go nite-nite. Too funny.

On Saturday we headed to Dallas and stayed with the Lindley's. Miller and Addison had a lot of fun playing together.

They even took a bath together.

Here they are looking for the dogs. Addison is only two months younger than Miller, but Miller seemed like a giant next to her. Thanks to Courtney and Stephanie for being such great hosts! Before we drove back to Houston on Sunday, we stopped by Erin & Mat Threadgill's. Miller had lots of fun playing with Katie and it was great to finally meet Caroline. Too bad we don't get to see them more often.

Hanging with Daddy

Miller loves Daddy! Here are some pictures of them hanging out in early February.

Kisses.

Jud's First Deer

Jud went to his partner Jimmy's ranch outside of San Antonio and shot his first deer. It was a small doe, but it was all about population control and some good venison.

GraMary

While we were in Costa Rica, GraMary came down and stayed with Miller. They had lots of fun going to the mall, the park and Little Gym. Thanks so much for coming down GraMary (Mimi).

Costa Rica

Right after the first of the year we took a trip with the Argue family to Costa Rica for Joe's 60th birthday. It was a great trip - adventure and relaxation.

We rented a house in Manuel Antonio. It was up in the rain forest overlooking the Pacific. We had a chef that cooked us one meal a day. Ernesto was fabulous.

This is our living room and our view.

Looking down from the top floor (4th floor) at our pool.

Howler Monkey in the trees just outside our living room. When they howl, they sound like the grim reaper.

Three-toed sloth. Yes, they move really slow.

Squirrel monkey. They are really small, a little bigger than a squirrel.

A white-face capuchin monkey.

A white-face capuchin coming into our house. We had several in our living room.

In our living room before dinner one night with the sunset in the background.

Lindsey zip lining. We did 7 different lines.

The group on a zip line platform (it was really small).

At a restaurant that is built around an old airplane. The restaurant is under the wings and the bar is actually in the plane and you can go in the cockpit. The sunsets were so beautiful there.

We went waterfall climbing and rappelling. It was really hard but so much fun. We are all so proud of Pam for doing it.

Jud rappelling down the 80 foot waterfall.

The group after going up and down the waterfall twice.

Snorkeling on our sunset sail. We saw/touched a really cool jelly fish. We also went scuba diving, but the visibility wasn't great. We did manage to see an eel, lobsters and lots of fish.

On the beach in the National Park. Happy birthday Joe and thanks for everything!

Miller's First Haircut

Miller got his first haircut just in time for the new year.

He loved the little car he got to sit in and drive.

He hated the smock and wouldn't keep it on. He kind of looks like a devil child here, but he's not at all.

He was all smiles when he got a lolly pop. He's never had one before, but he knew exactly what it was and was so excited. I don't even think he realized he was getting his hair cut. He does still have some curls left, so mom is happy.
