Miller's 2nd Birthday Party

Since one of Miller's favorite places is The Little Gym, we decided we would have his birthday party there. We had been talking about his birthday and party for about a week. He was so excited to wear a hat and blow out his TWO candles! He loved being the center of attention.

Walking on the beam with JoJo. He wanted JoJo to help him with everything, which gave Jud and I some free time to be hosts.

All the kiddos on the parachute. It brings you back to Elementary school, doesn't it?

Miller, Sophia, Isabella and Greyson jumping on the Air Track. It's like a bounce house without the roof or walls.

Monkey cupcakes. He had monkey invitations too.

The birthday boy sitting at the table enjoying his snack with Hayden, Riley and Greyson.

The other table - Gretta, Jackson, Hudson, Lilly and Hudson.

Miller blowing out his candles (well attempting, I had to assist).

He didn't hold back.

Daddy, Miller and Mommy.

Miller and two of his girlfriends (Sophia and Hayden) hiding behind a glass door. They thought it was so funny.

Miller Turns Two!

I can't believe our little (little is a relative term) boy is two years old. It seems like he was just born. He's no longer a baby, that's for sure. He talks in full sentences and understands everything that is said. His mind is a complete sponge as he repeated a country song lyric that was on the radio the other day - we really have to watch what we say. At his two year check-up he weighed 32 lbs. 12 oz. (93%) and was 36.5 inches tall (95%).

Good morning birthday boy. We were off to meet our new teachers and see our new classroom.

The tradition continues ... Evan and Miller at the annual birthday lunch. This is the "we share a birthday picture". Evan turned 24 - Happy birthday Ev!

Daddy took Miller on a bike ride - one of Miller's favorite things to do.

We gave Miller a helmet for his birthday. He didn't really like wearing it at first, but he got used to it. It helped that Daddy wore his helmet.

We have been working on holding up two fingers. He can't quite do it on his own yet, but he can certainly hold them if we help him out a little. We were opening gifts with Noni & JoJo.

Kansas City - Ricky & Shae's Wedding

We spent last weekend in Kansas City to celebrate Ricky & Shae's wedding. We had so much fun and enjoyed being a part of the special day.

Jud went up on Monday night to hang out, help Ricky with last minute wedding details and of course play golf. On Tuesday, Ricky, Jud, Ricky's dad and Ricky's uncle drove to Prairie Dunes to play golf. Jud was so happy he finally got to play the course.

Miller and I flew up on Thursday so we could spend some time with my college roommate Sarah, who lives in KC. We went over to her house and spent all day playing. Miller had so much fun with Jackson and Riley. It was so good to see them!

Ricky set up golf on Friday for anyone who was in town for the wedding. Here are Jud and his dad Max on the course.

The Bride and Groom at the Rehearsal Dinner. We dressed in our western gear and had great KC BBQ.

Me, Carrie and Benjamin Storms with Ricky at the Rehearsal dinner.

The wedding. Jud was a co-best man.

The reception was in Shae's parents backyard and it was beautiful. Here is a picture of the tent.

Evan, Blake, me and Jud with the happy couple. Shae's mom made her dress and all nine different bridesmaids dresses. They were all gorgeous.

Miller running around at the reception. He had so much fun!

All the Horned Frogs - you will see this picture in the TCU magazine!

Where's Jud?

Miller was so tired he just kept watching everyone dance and saying "dancing".

We went to brunch in the Plaza on Sunday before we left with my parents and Jud's parents.

The boys stayed later on Sunday to catch a KC Royals game. They wanted to check it off the baseball tour list while we were there. From left: Jud, Jud's cousin Blake Martin, friend AJ, Blake Allen and my dad.

Miller & Lilly

We had Lilly over for a play date and baby David came also. The kiddos were just to cute we couldn't help but take some pictures of them. Too bad we didn't' get any with David.

This is what they both do when asked what Cookie Monster does.

Wedding Sprinkle for Allison

I don't think I've mentioned it before, but I have been in a Tuesday night girls Bible Study for two years. I LOVE these girls! One of the girls in our group is getting married in September and we surprised her with a wedding lingerie Sprinkle (mini shower...get it?). Here are all the girls minus me (I was taking the picture) and one other (Melissa) that couldn't make it that night. Best of luck to Allison and Spencer!

Carousel Ride

We had a nice relaxing family night on Friday. We went up to the mall and had dinner at Berry Hill. Then Jud and Miller rode the Carousel (I practically get sick just looking at it). Miller chose a horse to ride and had so much fun.

Miller singing the ABC's at 23 months. He misses a few letters and words at the end, but overall not bad.

Goodbye to the Stouts

Our good friends the Stouts are moving to London. Houston is going to miss them. We couldn't to go to their goodbye dinner so we had them over to play before they left. Miller had so much fun playing with Evan and Owen. We really should have had them over more often. Enjoy your London adventure!

FISH!

Jud is a fish guy. He grew up having fish tanks and had several in college including a 55 gallon saltwater tank. He hasn't had a tank since he moved to Houston and has been bugging me for years about wanting to get one. I have been resisting since we already have a zoo at our house (a dog and two cats). Well, now that Miller is at an age where he can really enjoy fish, I gave in and let Jud set up a small 10 gallon tank in the play room. Below are the pictures of us getting the fish.

Jud and Miller at Petsmart after picking out three fish.

Leaving Petsmart with the fish.

Putting the fish in the tank. What you can't see here is that Miller decided one of his stuffed monkey's needed to go in the tank with the fish - too funny!

Miller looking through the tank at the fish.

Feeding the fish for the first time. He still gets such a kick out of feeding the fish. He loves to help put the food in and watch them eat.

Play Group at the Roller Rink

I grew up going to the Dairy Ashford Roller Rink and now I'm bringing Miller there. They have Toddler play time on Friday mornings. You bring a push toy and just let the kids go. We had play group there on Friday and the kids had so much fun. We can't wait to go back. Here is Miller pushing Claire in his "fire truck" Cozy Coop.
