Astros Black Ties and Baseball Caps Gala

Evan was offered two tickets to the Astros Black Tie and Baseball Caps Gala and she wasn't able to go. We were lucky to be able to go. The gala was on the floor of Minute Maid Park and most of the players/former players were there.

The Frog

Noni fished a frog (toad) out of their pool and saved it in a box for Miller. Miller loved touching and even holding it. Then they let it go and the "frog jumped away".

Lights, Camera, Action!

I took Miller to his first movie (Over the Hedge) today. Studio Movie Grill has a summer movie promotion Monday-Thursday at 11:00 where they show children's movies at a discounted price. We got a huge "bowl" of popcorn and had lunch while we were there. He did really well and would have lasted the whole movie if it weren't for a poopie diaper and a broken changing table in the bathroom.

Dinner with the Cagles

Friday night we went to have Mexican food with the Cagles. Miller and Claire have so much fun together.

Miller and Claire got balloon animals for the first time. They both chose to get a dog. Here they are using them as swords.

Miller walked the dog all the way out of the restaurant and to the car.

Holding hands - too cute!

Girls Weekend at the Lake

I had a much needed girls weekend with my girlfriends from college. We met at my parents lake house in Conroe and had a great time relaxing without all the kiddos.

Catching some rays (Kelly, Sarah, Cherie, Erin and Maggie)

Jud and Miller drove up for a quick trip to bring me some stuff. This is his "smile for the camera" look.

Me and Maggie getting some sun.

Sarah, Me and Cherie on the last night. We hit the big town of Willis by storm.

San Miguel, Mexico

We traveled to San Miguel, Mexico over Fourth of July weekend for Jud's cousin Blake's wedding. We had so much fun celebrating Blake and Carly, visiting with family, seeing the beautiful city of San Miguel and drinking a little too much tequila. Needless to say, we all left the little ones at home.

We stayed at a great Bed & Breakfast with Jud's parents Max & Mary, Jud's sister Kara & her husband Chad, Jud's Uncle Sam and Aunt Leslie, Jud's cousin Sara and friends Ricky & Shae. Here are all the ladies at the B & B ready to go to the Thursday night cocktail party.

Here we are in the Jardin (town square) on our walk to the rehearsal dinner. From left: Chad, Kara, Mary, Max, Jud, Lindsey, Sara, Sam and Leslie.

Me and Jud with Ricky and Shae on one of the narrow streets. We are super excited to be a part of Ricky and Shae's big day on August 22.

On the rooftop of the house where the cocktail party and Rehearsal Dinner were. It was so beautiful.

Sisters at the Rehearsal Dinner. Evan's boyfriend, Blake, was the Best Man so all of their friends were there too. One big family and TCU party.

Family pic at the Rehearsal Dinner!

All the cousins that were at the wedding including Uncle Jud and Aunt Sue's two exchange students.

The Bride and Groom - what a beautiful couple!

Jud with cousin Blake Martin and Evan's boyfriend/Best Man Blake Allen.

Of course we had to take a crazy Argue picture. Here are the four of us "from above" (notice Jud's arm).

The Beach

On Saturday, June 27 we decided to go with JoJo to Galveston for the afternoon. He had to look at a few properties for work and thought it would be fun if we came along to take Miller to the beach for the first time. Miller napped in the car on the drive there and once we drove by the properties we went straight to the beach. After the beach we went to dinner at the pier. Galveston has changed so much since the last time I was there. You could still see some hurricane damage, but it's coming back bigger and better. It's going to be such a fun place to visit with the kiddos.

Miller and JoJo heading to the water and Miller walking in the sand for the first time. He's checking it out and not quite sure what to think.

He's really not sure what to think of the water coming up over his feet.

He wasn't so brave on his own at first so Daddy helped him walk in the water.

Once he got used to it, he had so much fun. He kept saying "ocean". He does have sunscreen on, but I was still worried he was going to burn to a crisp. Do you see how white he is?

The only thing he wanted to do was run in the water. Running...running...running.

Walking in the water with Daddy. Notice he now has a t-shirt on. I didn't trust the sunscreen after an hour.

It had been a long day and he was so tired, but of course he didn't want to leave the "ocean".

Father's Day

Miller got a great Vineyard Vines polo shirt as a gift for his first birthday. When we opened it, Jud realized he had just bought the exact same shirt for himself and hadn't worn it yet. Jud was so excited to have such cool matching shirts, but Miller's shirt was a size 2T so he couldn't wear it for a while. Jud decided not to wear his shirt until Miller could fit into his. Well, it finally fits, so we broke the shirts out for Father's Day. They looked so cute going to church I had to snap some pictures.

Walking in the backyard.

Where's the camera?

Kisses - yummy!

Sitting at Miller's new picnic table - thanks Ricky! We love it!

Daddy's Shoes

Miller's new thing is to wear our shoes around the house. It's pretty funny when he puts on Daddy's size 14 shoes. They are about as long as him.
